>> Work

I make art using code and electronics. In my artistic practice I often examine the relationship between gender and technology by imagining softer alternatives for hard tech. I have exhibited my work in three solo shows in Finland: KodinhengetärHomemaker (Salo Art Museum, 2024); Fuzzy Logic (Huuto Gallery, 2022) and Uncanny Dimple (Kosminen Gallery, 2019). I have also exhibited my work in the UK and Estonia. I was awarded the Finnish Art Society’s Young Artist Grant in 2022 and received a 18-month working grant from Kone Foundation in 2024.

>> Teaching

I have been teaching Creative Computation in the Visual Communication Design MA programme at Aalto University since 2020. My academic duties at Aalto also entail supervising and examining MA thesis work and participating in the Academic Admissions committee. I was awarded as the Teacher of the Year by the Aalto ARTS Student Association in 2023. I have also frequented as a visiting lecturer at other study programmes at Aalto University as well as the University of Fine Arts in Helsinki.

In addition to creative coding, I have taught shorter courses and workshops on electronics, robotics and electronic textiles in various institutions, eg. Estonian Academy of Arts (Tallinn, Estonia), Unga Teatern (Helsinki, Finland) and Salo Art Museum (Salo, Finland).
